Matthew Y. Minae, Esq. is a litigation associate representing policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. His practice includes matters arising from commercial and personal lines coverage issues under directors & officers, employment practices, workers’ compensation, professional liability, and general liability policies. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked for several years at a large San Francisco-based commercial insurance brokerage, advocating for and assisting policyholders to obtain coverage tailored to their specific business needs, including drafting manuscript endorsements and eliminating unfavorable policy terms.

Mr. Minae earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, School of Law, Magna Cum Laude (top 5% of class). While in law school, he earned several distinctions including Order of the Coif, the Witkin Award in Insurance Law, Labor Law, and International Business Transactions, and the CALI Award in Appellate Advocacy and Constitutional Law.
