
PAMELA A. BOWER, ESQ., is a senior litigation and insurance
coverage attorney with the law firm of Adleson, Hess & Kelly, APC. Ms.
Bower primarily handles insurance coverage and bad faith matters, as well
as civil litigation in business and personal injury disputes.
Ms. Bower earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California
at Berkeley in 1987, and she received her Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara
University School of Law in 1990. Ms. Bower is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of California, the federal district courts for the Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She
currently serves on the arbitration panels for the San Mateo County and Santa
Clara County Superior Courts. Since 2001, Ms. Bower has been a member
of the San Mateo County Superior Court Civil Case Management/ADR Committee,
a bench-bar committee. She has also served as a panelist for the Association
of Defense Counsel’s continuing legal education programs.
Until joining the firm in June 2006, Ms. Bower almost exclusively represented insurers and insured defendants in litigation.She defended insurers in direct actions arising out of alleged insurance bad faith and insurance coverage disputes, and she also defended claims of personal injury, premises liability, aviation and products liability, employment liability, and construction defect liability. Her litigation experience extends to both the trial and appellate court levels, and she has prevailed in numerous jury and court trials. Ms. Bower is AV® Peer Review Rated, the highest rating for legal ability and ethics, by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc. In June 2006, Ms. Bower joined Adleson, Hess & Kelly’s insurance law practice and now represents policyholders in litigated and non-litigated coverage and insurance bad faith disputes. She also practices business litigation and is pleased to represent plaintiffs in personal injury and other general negligence matters.
